Mc Donald’s is going all out with their new hip-hop “Big Mac” campaign. First they get the newly signed Pacific Division to do the Big Mac Rap and now West Coast producer and Power 106 DJ Felli Fel is getting in the mix with the Big Mac Scratch commercial shown here. I assume the Big Mac dance is next.

It is now confirmed RZA will be working with film score legend Hans Zimmer in the upcoming Vin Diesel sci-fi action film Babylon A.D. RZA has gone on record multiple times stating he wants to get more involved in film score production and even plans to direct a martial arts film. He recently talked to Backbeat Magazine about producing the music with Zimmer for Babylon A.D.

“The RZA‚Äôs team and Hans Zimmer‚Äôs team have combined to create a hybrid kind of score for this movie that‚Äôs based in the future. So I think it‚Äôs going to be a good vibe for the audience out there, and it‚Äôs a good movie anyway ‚Äì a very thought-provoking movie,” said The RZA (speaking in the first person). Babylon A.D. comes to theaters August 29th.

Adam Yauch, AKA MCA of the Beastie Boys have been recently focusing his career on film directing. Ciara is no stranger to the modeling world repping Rocawear for the past couple of years. But now she is taking it to the next level signing with the Wilhelmina Modeling Agency where they will focus on clothing and fragrance campaigns for the R&B singer. Ciara is also currently in talk with fashion store Steve & Berry’s to develop a clothing line. “I have a couple of cool things that I’m working on,” says Ciara. “The coolest thing about Steve & Barry’s is they cater to everyday people. I won’t say that my line will be like theirs, I want to stay true to who I am, but most importantly it has to be affordable.” Via: Billboard

One of the tell-tale signs that a hip-hop artist is taking their acting career seriously is when they drop their rapper “stage name” and switch to their real name. Xzibit will now be using his real name of Alvin Joiner in the credits and publicity of the upcoming movie X-Files: I Want to Believe. He plays FBI Agent Mosely Drummy in a major role where he helps Mulder and Scully solve an unthinkable crime. Not only did Alvin slim down for the role but he shaved his head and even went through FBI training as well. X-Files: I Want to Believe hits theaters July 25th.
