This image might look like an Eminem 8 Mile comic but it’s actually art taken directly from the graphic novel Wanted, which of course is now a big-budget action film coming out this Friday. In the graphic novel, the lead character named Wesley Gibson (played by James McAvoy in the movie) has an uncanny appearance to Eminem, not to mention the same appeal for hip-hop, hoodies and baggy pants.

While Marshall Mathers was never considered to play the role in the movie, they originally did want McAvoy to cut his hair and dye it blond to look similar to Eminem. According to Complex, McAvoy responded with “That’s never gonna happen. Cause we’re not doing an impression of Eminem.” I bet Eminem is wishing he did have the movie role though because in the movie, McAvoy gets to hook up with Angelina Jolie. That’s worth all his multi-platinum albums right there.
