Nominations for the 60th Emmy Awards were announced today and the TV movie A Raisin in the Sun was nominated for three awards. The movie was nominated for “Best TV Movie” and Phylicia Rashad was nomiated for “Best Actress” and Audra McDonald for “Best Supporting Actress” in the Miniseries or Movie category. Meanwhile, Diddy who exec produced the movie and was given positive critic reviews for his role as one of the main charachters was left off the nominations list.

Although never considered a legit contender, having the other two stars of the film nominated and not him can’t sit well with Diddy’s ego. This is where Diddy would usually take the opportunity to release a YouTube message blasting the Emmy Nomination committee and denouncing the awards show. However, since Diddy has publicly announced his intentions to up his acting game and needs all the friends he can get in Hollywood, he will probably take the high road and say how proud he is of the movie and Claire Huxtable. Sorry Diddy…I’ll admit his acting vastly improved but he’s not on Momma Huxtable level yet.
