Like many other hip-hop moguls Ludacris continues to build his entrepreneurial portfolio across many businesses including restaurants, TV shows, film and his recently announced promotional deal with AT&T. Unlike many hip-hop moguls, Luda goes about with his own style and doesn’t feel the need to be in the spotlight, MTV or TMZ every day. Maybe that’s why Luda is so underrated when it comes to his savvy business sense.
But surely, quiety, he is doing his thing and turning Ludacris into a household name. In fact, along with Common and Mos Def, Ludacris has become part of the new wave of hip-hop actors who are heating up Hollywood with their formidable acting skills. Here is a look at the latest ventures of Ludacris The Entrepreneur:
- Multi-million dollar promotional deal with AT&T including TV and online ads. The first hip-hop artist to sign a promo deal with AT&T
- Straits Restaurant in Atlanta serving South East Asian cuisine with a Dirrty South flavor
- Eco friendly TV show “Battleground Earth” with co-star Tommy Lee
- Plays Roman the music manager in the Guy Ritchie film Rocknrolla (trailer)
- He can ball too! Luda plays Julius, a social worker who helps inspire a b-ball player in the upcoming b-ball flick Ball Don’t Lie (exclusive pics of Luda ballin it up)
- Currently filming the video game inspired action flick Max Payne alongside Mark Wahlberg. Ludacris will play Chief Bravura, trusted friend to Payne
So 50 Cent, Diddy, Jay-Z, Jermaine Dupri…watch out! Ludacris will also be dropping his sixth studio album “Theater of Mind” this October.

I love to see hip hop artists and athletes diversifying their talent and wealth in different directions. Especially when social influences and advertising on television typically encourages senseless spending and little or no influence encouraging people to make wise financial decisions.
