Step off Jaime Kennedy, the real Malibu’s Most Wanted is Shwayze. The rock friendly rapper has been making a name for himself with the Malibu, CA junior high girls for some time partly due to his rocker-mentor Cisco Adler. Although he still might be fighting for hip-hop recognition outside of MTV and TRL, Shwayze is wrapping up major promotional deals including a just announced partnership with Verizon. The deal calls for Verizon to exclusively release his next single “Corona & Lime” through Raphosdy before any other any online stores. In return, Raphsody and Verizon will be promoting the song through online and TV promotions.

Earlier this year Shwayze starred in a commercial for the Pontiac Vibe by Chicago ad agency Leo Burnett. Shwayze will also be the star in the upcoming MTV reality show “Buzzin” which also happens to be the name of his first single and chronicles making his first album. “Buzzin” the show is due to premiere on MTV July 23rd.
