Diddy teams with creator of “Survivor” for new reality show
Diddy, MTV and reality TV super producer Mark Burnett (”Survivor”, “The Apprentice”) have teamed together to form a new music contest show called “Diddy Presents: Starmaker.” According to the official pitch material, “Starmaker” will take singers from all around the country as they compete each week in front of a live audience and a panel of professional music executive judges.
Weekly eliminations will take place until one guy and one girl is left standing. The remaining two contestants will then be given the opportunity of a lifetime…a recording contract with Bad Boy Records. A shorter description would have been “It’s just like American Idol.” No word yet on when “Starmaker” will air but Diddy is currently holding auditions in the following cities.
