For the second straight year Kobe Bryant has the top selling NBA jersey in China. For those who are not aware, China has a huge passion for the NBA where names like Kobe and LeBron are household names. This is why NBA Commisioner David Stern has set up NBA China offices, has a dedicated NBA China website and is intent on capitalizing off this month’s “Redeem Team” USA Basketball Team and their quest for Gold. Official NBA merchandise is sold in over 30,000 locations in China. Although Yao Ming is easily the most prominent NBA Chinese player, his jersey popularity is dwarfed in comparison to Kobe, KG, and even teammate Tracy McGrady.
