The LL Cool J Collection of clothing for Sears will debut in stores Sept. 7 which coincides with the release of his latest album, Exit 13. Sears’ plans are for an aggressive marketing campaign using LL, his wife and four kids in TV, online and an dedicated LL Cool J sections in many of its stores. The concept is for LL to come off as a family man since the LL Cool J Collection is geared towards young girls shopping in the Juniors department.
The print campaign will launch in October issues of Cosmopolitan, CosmoGIRL!, Seventeen, Spin and Vibe. Shots include LL and his family wearing items from the collection.  According to Sears the clothing line will be affordable  with prices beginning at $24 for T-shirts, $50 for denim and $60 for outerwear. LL should’ve started with this instead of the Todd Smith couture. Looks like a good start up.
I’m mad at him for dissing RZA on the Mississippi joint.
How does LL have any type of rep with Juniors clothing? Is someone seeing something that I’m not here because I just dont get it.
@Agis
Would you be less shocked to see R. Kelly come out with this line?
What about a Michael Jackson boys clothing line. That would be worse
m@ and mike d – Grow up you guys!
LMAO @ Matt and Mike D
I get it… it’s the parents that know LL, respect LL, and ultimately buy the clothes that will more or less make this work or maybe not. But if it’s cool, then probably, unless your kids (teens) aren’t willing to get ragged on for wearing a LL Cool J clothing line.
LLCOOLJ is an interesting case. those who grew up on his music and have now matured and moved on. don’t realize how relevant he is to todays hiphop generation. his latest single ‘baby’ is actually a smash with over 1,500,000 views on you tube his under ground mixtape “return of the goat” is on fire in the inner city.so much so that miley cyrus “juniors” asked him to perform with her on the teen choice awards. yes, you read it right. we may be getting older but this guy is still really cool. do some research.
