I’m trying this new thing where I stop making fun of R&B singers with the first name Chris or the last name Brown. With that said, here is Chris’ brand new Doublemint Gum commercial with music set to his latest single “Forever.” Wrigley’s is just the latest corporate giant to utilize urban music and artists in their ad campaigns. Clyde at ProHipHop has a great post about the Chris Brown x Wrigley partnership.

Hey,
lets go back to school. These sponsors are out to make money . They don't care anything about you ,only
what they can get from you. They are out to reel in the Afro American 's using the “Big R&B” singers. They seem to
think they can wave anyone in front of us and we bite. They don't even respect the “R&B singers,in their mind they come a dime a dozen. They never even let Afro Americans do any of their commericals. You young singers don't need those sponsors ,they need you. You don't need their money ,you'll making money. They, the sponsors just want to tap into yours. Anytime they can just drop a person before due process and your first mistake “YOU DON'T MEAN ANYTHING TO THEM,ANYWAY except for $$$$$. They just move on to the next person who they feel is thirsty.
I love Chris Brown and Ne -Yo. I hope for the day we just say “No WAY”. They aren't satisfied with all the abuse and mis-use they have contributed too, they now want to use us against each other. DON”T buy into it.
Just make sure that when these people approach you with a contract ,that they have your best interest at heart.
Hold on to your pride and don't let anyone use you. Its ok to say Thanks but No thanks..See YA!!!
