Last week Jay-Z and GQ Magazine hosted the official launch party of the Artful Dodger clothing collection. For those who remember, Jay-Z bought the clothing brand last year for $15 million and was set on giving the brand a much needed face-lift. While introducing the collection at New York’s Chelsea Art Museum, Jay claimed that his Artful Dodger line is ‚Äúthe alternative to everything that currently exists in the marketplace.‚Äù
Take a look at the pics from the show for the new Artful Dodger collection designed by Jay-Z’s team. The current collection (before Jay-Z) is still available at the Artful Dodger website. Expect a complete redesign of the website in the coming months that will include this new collection labeled as sophisticated streetwear.

No offense to jay z, but before he bought the brand artful dodger was great. It was unique. jay z ruined the brand. Artful doger sucks now since he took over. ROcawear sucks and now artful dodger sucks

Artful Dodger used to be very unique, it had style, it was (in the literal sense) artful. I agree with the previous poster, it’s crap now. It sucks. It’s bland. It’s like all the other brands out. I LOVED Artful Dodger before Jay-Z took over.

Jays look in that artful dodger pic is the look he should be sticking with. Not this sell out suit stuff rubbin in the faces of those who support him that we cant buy that shit. Artful Dodger looks tite but its gotta have a heavy price tag.

Artful Dodger has been big in the hood for a minute the only thing is that you cant get it everywhere, there is actually bootlegs of the stuff heavy in NY for the past few years, Jadakiss even name checked it in a freestyle a while back, the brand is heavy with dudes getting money and very big in Harlem, it is a tight brand and most of the stuff is super fitted, but they have some bigger sizes to, but the 3x is more like a 1x out of proportion, it is a good brand and the redo is hot but the original was cool, it was sort of the hipster version of rocawear and they have been selling in Dr Jays Jimmy Jazz other smaller boutiques, it was around but they only sold to certain stores, it was a UK company and it was based on the gangs back in the day
Iconix has it now for 15mill so that was a really good look
