I am a Black man, an ex-comic book collector, and it wouldn’t make sense for Will to play Captain America. The reason is because Captain America is a character from the 1940s. He was frozen and revived decades later. If he was Black it would be be too far gone from the original storyline.

I’m glad this isn’t happening. I love Will Smith but the continuity of the comics cant be messed with to that level. It’s not a race thing at all.
