Adam Yauch of the Beastie Boys has been developing quite a film career for himself post-Beastie Boys era. This includes his own film production company that focuses on indie films with cutting edge stories. His latest theatrical release Gunnin’ For The #1 Spot followed top high school basketball players (at that time this included Kevin Love and Michael Beasley among others) and their rise to fame. Now the DVD is coming out on October 21st and will include a soundtrack with tracks by Jay-Z, Ludacris, Kool and the Gang, Nas, M.I.A, The Meters, The Beastie Boys, The Staple Singers, Public Enemy and more.
