I always thought it was illegal to deface U.S. currency. But I guess it’s legal and appropriate to take a photo of Abe Lincoln from a $5 bill, dress him up in “typical” hip-hop gear complete with headband and stud earring, give him some Ebonics vernacular and slang cool nifty hip-hop words like “holla” and you have yourself Subway’s newest ad campaign for their $5 footlong sandwiches.
