We feel the trend starting up again. Eminem did it with box office success with 8 Mile, Curtis did it with disappointing box office results with Get Rich or Die Tryin’ heck even Ne-Yo announced this week he is making a movie based on his own life. Well now T.I. has officially gone on record that he plans to produce and star in a film based on his own life as well. He recently stated to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution that he plans to release a series of books and one of them will be an autobiography which he will later turn into a film. ‚ÄúWe‚Äôre working on it now,‚Äù T.I. told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. ‚ÄúWe‚Äôre [also] working on a few different types of books. All nonfiction.‚Äù

T.I. is just coming off major success of his album “Paper Trail” which should sell over 500K units by next week. Huge numbers by today’s standards. If T.I. moves forward with his biopic, he should actually have some interest in Hollywood. He currently has a film deal with Sony Screen Gems and if filming the crime thriller Bone Deep. Word of caution on the books though…remember G-Unit Books? Yea neither do we.
