In this MTV News video, 50 Cent talks about how he got involved in the upcoming Jam Master Jay documentary Two Turntables and a Microphone which will be packaged together with deluxe editions of 50’s upcoming album “Before I Self Destruct.”

“He was somebody who impacted my career — you can say in the biggest way,” 50 explained to MTV. ” ‘Cause in my career, I was just in the infant stages, developing my song structure around Jay. The first time I was in the studio, [it was] with intentions of recording songs for an album with Jam Master Jay. He taught me how to count bars. I could rap already. I knew what I wanted to say, but he was showing me how I had to get it out around the right time. [He would say,] ‘That sounds crazy, you have to say it earlier in this verse.’ “

Although the JMJ doc will be in deluxe editions, 50 will also be adding his own movie, the VERY publicized Before I Self Destruct movie which was written, produced and directed all by himself. Album comes out December 9th.
