Pics of Diddy’s monster-sized “I Am King” NY & LA billboards

If you have been to Times Square this past week you have most likely seen it. The 172 x 54 foot billboard towering over New York’s busiest blocks is a can’t miss as it is over two times larger than any other ad in Times Square. The ad (shown below) is simply Diddy in a tux with the I Am King tag line. But in true Diddy fashion, he has been getting some criticism that the ads, which are now in Los Angeles on Sunset Blvd and in Miami, are arrogant and concieted. So Diddy released the following statement:

“I am really proud of the new billboard and of the message that it conveys to everyone who gets to see it. I Am King is not just about me, but every man. We are all descendants of kings. And if all men believe in that, we can accomplish anything. This image pays tribute to that belief, that ideal.”

See for yourself….

Video: Jeezy, Missy E. & Method Man star in Adidas’ first TV ads

In honor of its 60th anniversary, long-time hip-hop supporters Adidas will be launching their first ever U.S. TV advertising campaign and have employed Young Jeezy, Method Man, DMC, Missy Elliott and even Russell Simmons to star in them. The ads will begin airing this week and also feature celebs such as Kevin Garnett and David Beckham mixed with the hip-hop stars. It’s nice to see Adidas stay close to their hip-hop ties after so many years since they teamed with Run D.M.C. back in the early 80′s.

The campaign will run a series of 30 and 60 second spots all focused around meeting together for a big pool party. My favorite is this K.G. vs. Jeezy spot. Check all the ads out here and remember to keep coming back to WoooHa, Inc. for all the latest hip-hop marketing and business info you can handle.

Kanye shows off newest Pastelle jacket at awards show

I know I’m a bit late on this but at the recent American Music Awards Kanye performed and took the opportunity to show off another Pastelle piece, a very retro looking varsity jacket designed by Kayne’s Pastelle designer partner Kim Jones.

Despite the many stories on the net, ahem including our own, Kanye’s recent showing proves that the name Pastelle is here to stay. So what does Past.Tell.Museum mean then? Only Kanye knows. Here are pics of the jacket courtesy of Hype Beast. Are there any WoooHa, Inc. readers out there that would wear this?

Video: Diddy’s “I Am King” cologne mini-movie

Diddy filmed this 5 min. mini-movie to promote his brand new cologne called “I Am King.” While it is labeled a movie by Diddy, it’s obvious that this is just a 5 min. commercial and his attempt to become the next James Bond. All scenes were shot on location where Diddy traveled to exotic locations like Monaco and Saint-Tropez with models Bar Refaeli and Ana Paula, rode jet skis around the French Riviera, lounged aboard his yacht and gambled inside the Casino de Paris in Monte Carlo.

You can check out the full “I Am King” print ad campaign here. Diddy will follow up with a perfume called “I Am Queen” in 2009. Here is his latest official statement about the mini-movie:

I am debuting my new movie “I Am King” for my new fragrance “I Am King” which is available exclusively at Macy’s. This fragrance is dedicated to Barack Obama, Muhammad Ali, Martin Luther King and all you men out there who take care of your families and respect and treat yourself like the Kings that we are all. I would like to also announce that this is my audition tape for the next James Bond. There is a black president and it’s time for there to be a black Bond. God Bless.

Fox Searchlight has just released the official movie poster to the upcoming biopic Notorious which comes out in theaters January 16th. Searchlight held a survey for faithful NahRight readers back in September. Here is a look at the other potentials they were deciding between before coming to this final decision. What do you guys think of the art?

Video: The Lil Cease “Hard Body” workout video

This website is all about urban music artists making that paper right? But similar to NFL running backs and boy friends of Vivica A. Fox, the lifespan of a hip-hop artist’s career is very short. This has forced artists to come up with some very creative ways to make money. My favorite are MC Hammer and his online dance site, Coolio and his cooking show and cookbook, and now former Junior Mafia member and pal of B.I.G. is added to the list with the introduction of his new workout video called “Hard Body.” So quit eating them Flamin Hot Cheetos dipped in Mayo and buy his video now! Check out the preview trailer to it here…
