My homies over at HipHopRuckus tipped me on this one. Rick Ross has joined the likes of Usher, The Game and of course 50 Cent as he has just launched a social networking site using the Ning platform called DeeperThanRap.com. Similar to these other hip-hop social networking sites, Ross’ site includes a blog, videos and the trusty members section. Oh and don’t forget the huge ad on the site where you can buy official Rick Ross memorabilia.
I’m curious how much longer this trend can go. We all know it’s only a matter of time before some other artist finds the next cool thing on the net and everyone jumps ship. Well props to Ning for developing this social networking software cause it sure is taking off and at least the site is not called ThisIsRick.com.

Yep, it’s a vicious cycle that i think will continue. There is a serious lack of originality in hiphop which has caused the art to falter.

HEY AYO
HEY AYO
IM THE BIGGEST CO THUS FAR
Real talk Ross don’t need a social networking site. He aint even gonna be running it LOL. But o well. I have one that is run by me and my team, designed by me and my team. It is geared toward the Independent Industry. If you are Indie this is your spot. http://www.archerville.net not that other mess. LMAO
Rick Ross is a joke and everyone kno that real talk
I thought this faker was history.

Social Networking sites can be classified in one word…Garbage. I think these creations are another bane that will further solidify why there is a heavy lack of originality out there. Please do something different because everybody and their mama got a social networking site thru ning. I hate my cultures lack of individuality.
All indies we got what your looking for: http://www.archerville.net
Corey F,
Man you can’t knock someone elses hustle. The HHR site is no different then allhiphop or sohh. So you can’t talk about originality. Lets get money and do it together without the hate. Have you ever wondered why we usually come after the “MAN” in everything? Because we got that hate mentality. If we all supported one another we could be prosperous and help our communities. These “Ning” sites you speak of are another source of income so WE can provide jobs for others if people like you offer some support.
Only reason I made a statement on Ross’s site is because he aint doin nothing to help others with his new site sooooo I might as well look at his myspace or DefJam page. Lets not be part of the problem but part of the solution.
Honestly, HHR is different. If you actually looked at some of the things on HHR, you’d see we have an official and well done podcast dedicated to macking (Macking 101). Where else do you see that? We also do audio interviews with the artist? (HHR features…) We have a section for indie artist. Should I keep going? Anyways man, HHR is not at all similiar to SOHH or ALLhiphop, but different from in a lot of ways.I really think that’s its’ an insult when you say that we’re no different than them. You should do your homework. I mean, I could site down for about 30 minutes and make up a “Ning” site like yours. Maybe you need to look at your “Ning” site before you make any discretionary remarks about HipHopRuckus because basically you’re just in the same sinking ship with the rest of them…
And that last comment was directed at Archeville.net…. that’s http://www.archerville.net
a little online battle i see brewing. Point is though, yea, no originality with Rick Ross site cuz it’s just like the rest. As for HHR vs. Archerville? Im not touching that.
Yeah, It would be wise if you watched from the sidelined…”We’re bringing the ‘Ruckus’” from now on…
Yea TARN stay clear
I like the way you responded! Its no online battle, we at http://www.archerville.net are a new site with a fresh idea on a platform that is being used to death. Now Corey F I am a man that wears many hats. I am a rapper, manager, executive, future internet mogul with a clothing line. I grind hard for ever penny I get. Not only that bro I am a husband and father. So bring the ruckus all day just know that I am all for networking. Aint no money in BEEF. I will go over your site once again and even tell my members to take a look. I am a different breed then most of these clowns that log on to the computer. So HipHopRuckus you walk your lane and I walk mine. Anyone can make a website just like anyone can make a song. (ie D4L) But it takes hard work and dedication to make anything work. I can’t do HHR because my hearts not into it. So if you want BEEF go to the meat market, If you want to network hit me up!
Straight up…case settled, I’m with that…Get at me…hiphopruckus2007@yahoo.com
Now that’s networking at its finest. Corey – you know I always got ya…Archerville – looks like you are doing your thing with your new site. Expecting great things from both you guys.
Thank you Yeti. I got you Corey. Keep God in your plans and all things are possible.
