If you remember awhile back, Taco Bell sent a letter to 50 Cent asking him to change his name for one day to 79 Cent, 89 Cent or 99 Cent to help publicize its new value menu. As part of the promotion Taco Bell would donate $10,000 to the charity of his choice. Well the promotion fired back at Taco Bell as 50 Cent’s lawsuit happy legal team sued the fast food company.

Now Taco Bell lawyers are striking back as they just released a statement calling out 50 and dissing him as if they were Fat Joe and The Game rolled into one. The rapper is a “self-described former drug dealer and hustler” whose “gangsta rap” is associated with violent criminals, Taco Bell wrote to Manhattan Federal Judge Naomi Reice Buchwald. Interesting. If they feel he is just a drug dealer and hustler why did they ask him to be in the promotion in the first place? This is a perfect opportunity for Del Taco to step in and add a little seasoning to this “beef.” Ooohhh…that’s a good one.
