Even though Clifford will possibly be serving his long awaited jail sentence as early as March, that hasn’t stopped his film career from moving forward. T.I. already signed a long term production deal with Sony Screen Gems back in July of 2008 but he also has a production deal with New Line Cinema as well.
Although New Line is now absorbed by Warner Brothers, the production deal with T.I.’s Grand Hustle Entertainment was renewed and kept intact so that the company could work with T.I. in developing his next movie For Sale.¬† The movie has actually been in development since July of 2006 but was delayed for one reason or another. But now, with jail fast approaching, T.I. is set on making it happen. He recently told MTV:
“The film I’m producing over at New Line, For Sale, we’re trying to put that together, and hopefully we’ll be able to do that before March. We’re getting offers every day, checking on our availability, on whether or not we’ll be able to take advantage of certain opportunities, film-wise.“
Similar to The ATL, For Sale is loosely based on T.I.’s own life and is about the crazy antics that go on in an Atlanta used car sales lot. Greg Coolidge, who has directed comedies such as Sorority Boys and Employee of the Month is set to take the directing duties for this movie as well. T.I. recently finished filming the robbery caper Bone Deep which hits theaters January 8, 2010.

Hmmmm sounds interesting but he should get a move on this if he going to jail in a couple months. I got mad respect for TI now bc he really doing his thing and making thing to the end.
T.I. is workin it to the VERY end. He got plans to blow up in jail too. To strategize and come out of lockdown with an even better plan. Grand Hustle!
This movie could be cool or REALLY bad
The script has been around for awhile. It’s almost like ATL meets Car Wash. YOu know…the one with Snoop and Dre from back in the day.
