Bow Wow, the self-proclaimed “Jordan King” just a couple of months ago, will now be re-focusing his sneaker efforts on building up the Starbury brand. Bow Wow becomes the first musician to join Stephon Marbury’s sports apparel company as he will develop a soon-to-be-named brand that will charge low prices which are in line with the Starbury pricing model.
In the official press release Bow Wow states what attracted him to the Starbury business model:
“I think families should have a real choice. I want my fans to be able to wear nice shoes and clothing and to also have money in the bank. The smart consumer can have both.”
The Starbury brand faced obstacles this past year as their lone distributor Steve & Barry’s closed their doors. Right now Starbury is available in various discount stores and online. No word yet on how Bow Wow’s line will be distributed when it comes out in November.
Hey at least he is being realistic and not coming out with a line for $300 tshirts and stuff no one can really afford right now
