Chris Brown movie “Bone Deep” changed to “Takers” due to sexual innuendos

Chris Brown x Bone Deep. As we reported earlier this week, our sources involved with the Sony Screen Gems movie Bone Deep revealed that Chris Brown would be erased from the marketing material when the movie comes out on January 8, 2010. Well those same sources have now revealed that the studio is making more changes.

Apparently Chris Brown’s recent activities were not the only controversy this film has been dealing with. The title itself, Bone Deep, has come under fire for it’s sexual and pornographic connotations and will now officially change the name to Takers…not to be confused with the current hit action movie Taken. So you Continue Reading…

New ads emphasize Russell Simmons’ clothing line is NOT urban

Russell Simmons x American Classics. Russell Simmons is going out of his way to show the world that his new American Classics clothing line is NOT urban. The clothing line, which launched beginning of this month, is available only at Wal-Mart for lower budget prices but apparently Russell is not happy with the fact that his clothing line was called “urban.” He states in his official Global Grind blog:

“American Classics is meant to reflect classic style for everyone.¬† So when I notice that WWD and others have described my American Classics line as urban, for those writers you have to ask yourself, what defines my line as urban?¬† Their definition of urban seems almost to be a bad word and is certainly a confining one.¬† My intention is to dress America without limitation.”

For the record, I never said American Classics was urban, in fact it’s about as non-urban as Russell’s current girlfriend. As if Russell telling us American Classics is not urban I think it’s pretty easy to tell he’s trying to communicate this in his ads and “infomerical” video. Looks straight out of a Tommy Hilfiger catalog.

Ghostface & Doom in new “Grand Theft Auto” trailer

Ghostface Killah x Doom x Grand Theft Auto. Ghostface and Doom (AKA MF Doom) are featured in this new trailer from the upcoming Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars. The game looks pretty good. Too bad it’s just for Nintendo DS though. I guess now your little kids can shoot, kill and stab on their little DS screens now. Game comes out March 17th. Via: Nah Right

50 Cent x ESPN. If Lil Wayne can do it…well then 50 Cent can. 50 appearead as a guest correspondent for ESPN News last night and talked about some off the cuff sports issues such as A-Rod and steroid use in baseball, Plaxico with a gun, and who is better Kobe or LeBron. All in all, 50 handles himself well with the sports issues which leaves an interesting potential “Around The Horn” episode of Wayne vs. 50.

Exclusive pics of Taboo as vega in “Street Fighter” movie

Taboo x Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li. For those hip-hop gamers out there you might know that 20th Century Fox is releasing the movie Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li tomorrow in theaters. In the movie the Black Eyed Peas’ Taboo plays the main adversary, the assassin Vega. WoooHa.com has the first exclusive pics of Taboo from the movie.

Taboo is trained in martial arts so the role was easy for him, although he did have to square off against a woman, Chun-Li (Kristin Kreuk) for the first time. Maybe Chris Brown took some lessons from him. Oh no. I went there. More pics of Taboo as Vega, complete with mask, after the jump. Continue Reading…
