PUSH is a political book as well as an uplifting story...I have not seen the movie, and i want to believe, but i find it hard to believe that the movie could possibly honor the self-realization that the book portrays. i think this because it is headed by a household name (Carey), and because it is a hollywood movie, however downplayed and framed as "independent".
