Mos Def x UNDRCRWN. We showed you a preview last week but now UNDRCRWN has just officially released the first series of their Mos Def Collection which are seven different t-shirt designs. UNDRCRWN designer Dustin Canalin states:
“We took Mos Def’s DNA and applied it to ours. Many of the items incorporate the colors and cover print from the 2004 Dead Prez album Revolutionary But Gangsta, but also include personalization from Mos Def‚Äôs own life. A lot of it is just playing around with the unexpected, and saying, ‚ÄòPeople always do this, let‚Äôs go a completely different route.‚Äô”
The collection will be released in two phases, starting with the t-shirts. Check out the rest of the first installment from the Mos Def Collection after the jump.

MOS DEF HAS CRAZY STYLE
I tried to buy that first one but it was already sold out at the UNDRCRWN site – anyone know where else I can get it?
The reason the designs and cuts looks so professional is because Canalin designed them with Mos Defs input. It just was not mos def by himself. Thats the problem these days with rappers thinking they are clothing designers as well. No sir you are not.
Come on Jaime most rappers have designers on their team too. What you think the just know how to sew and choose fabric and patterns? Difference is the level of involvement and freedom the designer has. In this case it is clear Mos Def gave the designer the right leeway
