I told you earlier today that the DJ video game wars were brewing. Right now I would say we are at Code Yellow still as things are starting to get interesting but so far no innocent hip-hop gamers have been hurt. Earlier today we showed you the first trailer to Scratch: The Ultimate DJ and now Activision’s DJ Hero has responded in kind.
Reps for the DJ Hero game sent us a quick note with information about the upcoming DJ Hero website which you can preview now. At this stage it is just a teaser but expect full details about the game in the near future. Rumor has it that mash ups and mixing will be a bigger part of DJ Hero as they are enlisting the likes of DJ Shadow, Daft Punk and Z-Trip to name a few. Scratch will focus more on the hip-hop genre and the skill of scratching. We will have more info along with tracklistings soon along with any updates.

i bet we will have to buy two different sets of turntables. damn you people!
for sure. no way they are going to both play together.
At least they are not both about scratching and mixing – i think DJ hero will play broader b/c of the mixing but tru hiphop fans will go for the scratching
Scratch is more urban
scratch deck looks unreal especialy for a video game
scratch is a more realistic game. if you look at the decks for scratch the tables and buttons are separated like real dj equip. who has buttons on top of a dj deck? dj hero does. lame
