50 Cent dropped from movie after one week

50 Cent x Expendables. I guess 50 is just like the title of the movie he was dropped from…expendable. Just a week after news hit that 50 Cent was replacing Forrest Whitaker in the upcoming action movie, AICN is reporting now that 50 has been replaced by resident big man Terry Crews. Sylvester Stallone, who is writer, director and star of the movie, directly contacted AICN telling them that Crews was just re-cast in the role previously held by 50 Cent. Geez…seems like this role has changed more than a 50 Cent album street date.

Quaker Oats and the beatboxing oatmeal

Just like our friends at Songs for Soaps are saying, it will only be a matter of time before Quaker Oats picks this up as a real TV ad or viral campaign. Now if they could only get Doug E. Fresh to do the oatmeal w/ strawberries version.

Nike Air Yeezys rumored at $310

Kanye West x Nike. As Nike prepares the release of the highly anticipated Air Yeezy the one question on everyone’s mind is how much are they going to cost? Considering Kanye’s Louis Vuitton sneaker line will run you between $800-$1,000 (see pricing grid) most fans were hoping the Air Yeezys would be affordable. Rumor running around though is Nike knows the demand and will be charging a premium $310 price tag. What recession?

Young Joc, Mims & Aubrey O’Day on MTV’s “Cribs”

You realize half the houses shown on “Cribs” are staged right? It’s the little secret that MTV doesn’t want you to know but it’s pretty obvious when the house AND the furniture look brand new….and when the artist gets lost in their own house. MTV will rent a house for the day and hire set “dressers” to fill the house with furniture and other things to give it an “authentic” look.

And yes they make the production assistant buy the food and drinks to stick in the refrigerator. But yea…not all are fakes. Just a good amount. Check out the cribs of Young Joc (shown in video above) and Mims and Aubrey O’Day after the jump. Legit or not? Via: RealTalkNY Continue Reading…

Beyonce signs ad deal with Nintendo

Beyonce x Nintendo. I tell you now…the video game industry is the next industry that hip-hop and urban music will take over. Jay-Z already already has a video game project in the works, 50 Cent just dropped his second game, and now Nintendo has signed on Beyonce to promote and be featured in ads for the new DS game “Rhythm Heaven.”

Beyonce was recently on the set for the new “Rhythm Heaven” TV ad (photo above) which will hit nationwide in the next coming weeks. Nintendo is no stranger to urban music and hip-hop though. B.o.B.’s (or is it Bobby Ray now?) song “Created a Monster” was most recently in a Nintendo DS TV ad and Rev Run signed on to promote the Wii in various online viral videos. WoooHa will have the Beyonce x Nintendo ad once it comes in. Peace.
