For those who know me, they know that I actually have a legit professional background in advertising and marketing with various movie studios and record labels. One of the reasons I started this blog was to give some exposure to the fact that hip-hop is a force to be reckoned with when it comes to both advertising and marketing in Corporate America. Of course artists should be recognized for their music but they should also be recognized for the hustle of making a dollar regardless if that’s from starring in movies, starting a website, creating a shoe line, you name it.
So it’s nice to see that my site itself is actually getting some mainstream exposure these days as a legit hip-hop business & marketing blog. Renowned advertising trade magazine Advertising Age recently interviewed me for their piece on the Honda Accord and Micky Factz deal. It’s a quick article but it’s nice to be recognized by such a powerful trade magazine. Props to Charlie at Songs For Soap on this. And if you prefer more of the entertainment side…Rollingstone also recently reached out to us as well on Chris Brown’s movie career. Read the Rollingstone article here. To my daily readers….thanks for supporting me from day one on this. Get ready for more here in 2009….the stock market might have you crashing but WoooHa will never let you down.

Good job, man. You deserve all this recognition. Keep up the good work.
YETI!!!! Good shit
I DONT KNO AD AGE BUT I KNO ROLLINGSTONE. NEXT IS VIBE AND THE SOURCE HOMEY. HA.
Is that implying Source is better than a professional publication like Advertising Age? YOu must be a 15 year old kid. I saw that post in Ad Age though, keep it up Wooooha!

Keep doing your thing Yeti. As long as there is fresh quality articles, readers will no doubt come back for more. I try to get a daily fix whenever I can.

This is what hiphop needs. A site that at least shows the positive of hip-hop influence
Consistently good work always gets recognized in the end.
You have to be a subscriber to see the AdAge article…..
Strange…they must have just started doing that. Before you could just read
the article directly from the link.
