Rick Ross x Luxury Tax Clothing Line. We revealed way back in Nov. of 2008 that the Big Boss was going to come out with a clothing line called Luxury Tax. Well here it is. We try not to hate on this site but you would think for all his supposed money, he could have spent some on designing a legit clothing line.

Jay-Z x Roc4Life. Jay continues to expand his empire to the internet as his site Roc4Life has been busy shooting exclusive video content including this new Rocawear promo entitled “Past, Present, Future.” Video is set to “Brooklyn We Go Hard.” Roc4Life is using these exclusive clips to get the word out on their site…expect some personally from Hova in the near future.

Clipse x KAWS. Rumors have been swirling around in the urban fashion industry that Clipse is prepping to take their Play Cloths line to the next level and have been collaborating with some big-timers in the streetwear industry for exclusive lines. KAWS, who is EVERYWHERE these days, is rumored to be the first Clipse collaborator.

Clipse mentioned it on their blog and now here is the first image of the Clipse x KAWS collab logo. Rumor has it an exclusive line of tees will be announced soon and sold online only. We will keep you updated. Let’s hope the tees won’t run for over $100 and be limited to a run of 10.

Lil Wayne x The View. Lil Wayne is all set to rap rock with Barbara Walters on the popular female morning show “The View” on April 24th. Not only is Wayne scheduled to join co-hosts Barbara Walters, Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Elisabeth Hasselbeck and Sherri Shepherd on the show but he will be performing a track from his upcoming rock album “Rebirth” as well. “What Barbara? You have a cough? Here try some of this draank in this cup right here!”

Diddy x Twitter. Diddy should be a politician with all the catchy slogans he spits out for Twitter. You have the all-time fave “Let’s go!!!” followed by “Don’t Stop!” and let’s not forget “Let’s get it!” Well now Diddy introduces us to his newest slogan “Lock in!” The message is actually on point. Insert Hip-Hop Artist Name Here wants to take acting career to next level. Yes I’m not posting the same story over and over. These days seems like artists are shifting focus where the money is…from the music to the movies. Bow Wow went public saying he wants to focus on movies and even Busta Rhymes wants to start a TV career.

Well Xzibit is already on his way from transitioning from artist to actor with a whole range of films under his belt including the recently released American Violet (trailer and pics here) which opened this past weekend. In a recent interview though with Euroweb, X to the Z talks about taking his acting the next level:

‚ÄúI don‚Äôt want to play stereotypical parts. I mean they hand those out every hour on the hour. If I plan to make more important movies as I go along, then the choices I make now are very important…certain roles that come around are just not attractive. It‚Äôs not about the money. It‚Äôs not about me thinking I need to be in a big budget film. I don‚Äôt think I‚Äôm prepared to carry a movie by myself right now, but I want to work to get to that point. But the fact of me knowing that is going to save me a lot of headaches and the audience a lot of bad movies … so you won‚Äôt see me on ‚ÄòSoul Plane 6.‚Äô‚Äù

As somone in both the film and music industry it is nice to see that Xzibit realizes he is not ready to carry a movie by himself. Most of these rappers (ahem Diddy) think they can just come to Hollywood and win an Oscar and be a big-budget action star overnight.

Kanye West x Louis Vuitton. Yea I know I’m late on posting these. This is what happens when you go to the middle of the California desert to Coachella Music Festival. Big Boi x Funny or Die. Big Boi and his label Jive Records have teamed up with FunnyOrDie.com to release a series of branded Big Boi animated shorts as part of promoting Big Boi’s upcoming album “Sir Lucious Leftfoot: Son Of Chico Dusty.”

The animated series features the voice of Big Boi as King Henry and features plenty of Outkast and Big Boi producet placement shots throughout as well. Early reaction has been mixed but as a marketer I’m digging the integration of advertising and content on this.
