VIDEO: Trailer to “Bad Lieutenant” starring Xzibit & Nicholas Cage

Xzibit x Bad Lieutenant. UPDATE: The trailer is now back up. Hot off the presses here is the brand new movie trailer to Xzibit’s (ahem Alvin Joiner here in Hollywood) latest movie where he co-stars with Nicholas Cage. Movie is remake of the Harvey Keitel film with Cage playing the lead role as a corrupt, drug loving cop who must find a killer (Xzibit) but in the process ends up doing buisness with him. Movie looks refreshingly badass.

Jay-Z & Eminem collab for “DJ Hero” video game (w/ screen shots)

The battle of DJ video games between DJ Hero and Scratch: The Ultimate DJ might be over now with this news. Turns out Jay-Z and Eminem are both putting their weight behind DJ Hero. USA Today has the exclusive (props to RapRadar for the find) and reports:

The upcoming DJ Hero video game just landed two heavy hitters as MCs: Jay-Z and Eminem.

Both rappers are bringing their music to the newest offshoot of Activision’s successful $2 billion Guitar Hero franchise. The game, played with a turntable-shaped controller, is due out this fall for PlayStation 3, PS2, Xbox 360 and Wii (no price or rating yet).

A limited edition comes with the rappers’ exclusive new greatest-hits CDs, possibly including previously unreleased tracks, plus an advanced version of the controller, a DJ stand and metal traveling case. Jay-Z and Eminem will serve as consultants to Activision and the game’s developer, FreeStyleGames.

The complete list of tracks the rappers are providing is still being worked out. Jay-Z plans on including Izzo (H.O.V.A.) and Dirt Off Your Shoulder for sure. Also possible: tracks from his in-the-works Blueprint 3 album. “I have a ton of content, I just need the pipeline,” he says. “I love the freedom of (DJ Hero). I could wake up tomorrow morning with the idea for a song and call the guys at Activision and start working on getting it out.”

Eminem is more cryptic about his contributions. “I don’t want to give away any surprises yet,” he says in an e-mail interview. “DJ Hero will include my music, and I’ll be providing additional material as downloadable content by the end of the year.”

“You are going to get over 100 songs from 80 artists and 80 brand-new mixes that have never been heard before, including one with Eminem and Jay-Z (together),” says Guitar Hero president and CEO Dan Rosensweig.

DJ Hero’s gameplay will be similar to its counterpart Guitar Hero. Here is a first look preview at a screen shot from DJ Hero as well. These shots feature DJ Shadow in the game play. I wonder if you can pick DJ Clue?

VIDEO: On set of 50 Cent’s new movie “Caught in the Crossfire”

50 Cent x Caught in the Crossfire. Here is video and pics of 50′s latest movie he is filming called Caught in the Crossfire. Movie is currently filming in Grand Rapids, Michigan and is exec produced by 50 Cent under his Cheetah Vision production company. Movie also stars Chris Klein (yes from American Pie fame) and is about police officers searching out crooked cops with the help of a police informant. The informant of course is 50 Cent.

No studio is attached to the film as Cheetah Vision is bankrolling it and hoping to sell it to a studio. The last time they tried this was Streets of Blood which we exclusively reported was going straight to DVD. Let’s hope this movie doesn’t have the same fate. Check the interview of 50 Cent and Chris Klein here:
