Beyonce teams up with Hamburger Helper (no joke)

Beyonce x Hamburger Helper. Yes I know. A million jokes can be made out of this latest collaboration but since its to feed the homeless I’m going to lay off it. You can feel free to though in the comments section. Beyonce and General Mills, owner of Hamburger Helper, have officially launched their Feeding America charity campaign whith goal of delivering 3.5 million meals to local food banks. In an official statement Beyonce states:

“Through the work I do with my Survivor Foundation, I’ve been committed to helping families get back on their feet in difficult times,” said Beyonce. “That’s why I’m excited to get involved in this effort to help Feeding America deliver more than 3.5 million meals to local food banks. If we all show a helping hand, together we can make a difference in the fight against hunger.”

The charity tie-in is in conjunction with Beyonce’s “I AM…” tour. What? You thought she just wanted to feed millions of people Hamburger Helper for the fun of it? The current TV ad campaign featuring Beyonce is currently running and you can see it at the official website. No it doesn’t feature her talking to the Hamburger Hand. That would be too good to be true. Props to InMyStateofMind for the heads up.

Diddy x Get Him To The Greek. Diddy is already starting his self-promotion and marketing of his film role in the upcoming Judd Apatow produced film Get Him To The Greek (set clips here). In Diddy’s latest video here he takes you on a tour of the Culver City, CA Sony Studios backlot where they are filming. Be warned…the video is shaky. Like Cloverfield shaky.

Smell like 50 Cent with his new “Power by 50 Cent” Cologne

50 Cent and manager Chris Lighty have just launched a company called Lighthouse Beauty which will create, market and distribute a line of 50 Cent inspired colognes later this year. The first one to hit the market will be called “Power by 50 Cent” and will be distributed similar to other cologne and perfume distribution models…yes that means Macy’s.

Chris Lighty had the following to say about his new venture with 50:

“The typical musician or actor might not know much about developing a fragrance or a skin care line, but he definitely wants to capitalize on his brand potential. After spending years bringing clients to major corporations to forge partnerships, I wanted to take that synergy to the next level by establishing a destination for artists and celebrities to create and distribute their brands from start to finish.

What we’ll do at Lighthouse Beauty is not only transform a name into a product, but also take that product from its inception to the shelves.‚Äù

This is not 50′s first time entering this territory. He had a deal with Gilette for the RBX Pure 50 Body Spray earlier last year. Unfortunatley sales of body sprays took a nose dive and so did their deal. Let’s see how this whole perfume/cologne venture plays out though.

VIDEO: Nike’s Air Yeezy commercial

Just so there is no incorrect information out there my sources are saying this is NOT an officially approved version of a Nike Air Yeezy commercial. It is a “spec TV spot” that a production company created in hopes of landing an account with Nike. This will most likely never make it to nation-wide broadcast but regardless it’s a pretty well done ad. Woooha!

VIDEO: CBS hires Black Eyed Peas for “I Got A Feeling” ads

Black Eyed Peas x CBS. You can hate BEP all you want but there is no doubt they are rolling in the money with their catchy hooks that Corporate America loves. The CBS Network has enlisted BEP’s song “I Got A Feeling” for their upcoming TV show slate ad campaign. Props to Broken Cool for the find.
