Swizz Beatz always has had pretty high standard taste. From his Ferrari collection to his growing art collection. And at the same time he has been developing his own skills as an artist as well.¬† Swizz shows off his latest piece, a tribute to MJ called “Remember the Time.”

In an effort to make himself more “accessible” to the major film producers and movie studios here in Hollywood, we have just learned that 50 Cent has removed some of his more iconic tattoos. It’s no secret 50 has ramped up his film career (see Diddy career path) as his music side dwindles down and the tattoo removals are just the beginning of a 50 Cent the rapper¬†to Curtis Jackson the actor rebranding effort. 50 recently stated:

‚ÄúI took some of the tattoos off because on the movie set, if we got a six o‚Äôclock call time, I have to be there two o‚Äôclock the night before. I gotta go through four hours of make up before we go ahead and play the role. So, I just took it off my arm. My right arm.”

¬†Although the arm tats will be gone, 50 is not completley doing away with his old image as his signature ‚Äú50 Cent‚Äù and ‚ÄúSouthside‚Äù tattoos on his back will stay…for now.

Jay-Z x Random House. Hova has officially inked his deal with Random House for a three book deal with an unofficial advance in the millions of dollars. In a radio station phone interview this morning, Jay stated the following:

Yeah, the other two books though, you know I had to sign that deal,” Hov confirmed in an interview this morning. “I’ve done the deal to do a book and the name of it is called Decoded. It’s called Decoded because I’m going to decode all the lyrics from my records. I’m gonna pick the select ones, all the double entendres and things that people may have missed or may have gotten but want confirmation on it. That’s what the book is about, it’s called Decoded.”

No word yet on when the first book will drop but we will have more info soon.

Following the footsteps of fellow Wu-member Method Man, Ghostface Killah is now set to star in a graphic novel of his own. The upcoming graphic novel is titled Cell Block Z, featuring a boxer character named Cole Dennis who is framed for a crime he didn’t commit. Official summary as follows:

To his fans, Cole Dennis is a heavyweight contender with a devastating right hook. To a city being held hostage by chaos and terror, Dennis has a grit and charisma that make him the shining hope for justice‚Äîuntil he is arrested for a brutal murder. The book is illustrated by Marvel’s Chris Walker and screenwriters Marlon Chapman and Shauna Garr helped the rapper pen the story. Cell Block Z will hit bookstores on July 29, via Hachette Book Group and of course WoooHa will have an early review for you guys soon. Here is a pic of the cover…
