N.E.R.D.’s Chad Hugo teams with Gatorade for new song

Chad Hugo x Gatorade. Who said N.E.R.D. and The Neptunes were just Pharrell? In a rare occurance, the OTHER Neptune, Chad Hugo has gone¬†without Pharrell¬†on a new project with Gatorade. Chad and artist Kenna have teamed up with Gatorade for a new ringtone song called “Lock It Up” which will be featured in during tomorrow’s MLB All-Star game. New Michael Jackson game still in the works

For once this really isn’t exploitation of Michael Jackson’s death. MJ was actually in the middle of working on a new console video game before his death and his company MJJ Productions is intent on still putting it out. Michael did extensive voice speech work for the game as well as granted his likeness and many of his hit songs for the untitled game.

“I am sure it will still be released,” a MJJ Productions rep is quoted as saying. “Michael loved games.”

According to gaming website Kotaku, the new MJ game is supposedly scheduled for this Holiday season. WoooHa readers….you interested in buying a new official MJ game?

Jay-Z to sign multi-million dollar book deal

It’s deals like this that make Jay-Z the richest man in hip-hop. Jay is close to signing a three-book deal through powerhouse publisher Random House for a reported multi-million dollar deal including a hefty advance. The first book will be based on Jay’s lyrics and story telling through his songs (similar to Em’s last book), the second will be a memoir and the third will reportedly be about Jay-Z and his rise to fame from a business/hustler perspective.
