UFC’s Rampage Jackson is NOT BA Baracus in A-Team movie
The UK tabloid “The Sun” recently reported that Quinton “Rampage” Jackson has secured the role of BA Baracus for the upcoming A-Team movie. You might remember that the casting for this role has been running around the Hollywood rumor mill for sometime with everyone from Tyrese, Ice Cube, The Game and most recently Common mentioned as the lead for the role. So it came to a surprise to many around here in Hollywood that Rampage was announced as BA. Well now it turns out the announcement came a bit too early as Rampage’s management flat out denies that he has secured the role. In other words…there still is no BA.
Do you think Rampage would be right for the role? Who would you guys like to see take the role of BA Baracus?
Jay-Z planning long career in Hollywood as actor & producer
WoooHa! has covered Jay-Z’s multiple business dealings from his Rocawear Clothing line to his hotels to his video game tie-ins. But never…never…did we expect Hova to enter the Hollywood waters of acting and producing. We always thought…hey leave that to his wife. Well turns out Jay-Z has surprised everyone with his latest comments to MTV. When asked if he wants to make the move to the film business Jay-Z responded with:
“I do. I do,” Jay insisted about whether he still wants to make movies in the future. “I’m taking my time. It may seem like it’s taking forever, but when I do, it’s gonna be something added to the genre. I just don’t wanna do a couple movies and be gone. I want it to be something that’s really important, so I’m taking my time with it. Hopefully when I arrive [in Hollywood], I can leave a footprint.”
Those are some pretty ambitious plans for a guy who has no professional acting experience. He should get some pointers from Diddy and get a reality check that breaking into Hollywood is just not that easy. No offense but it’s probably in Jay’s best interest to do work behind the camera first and start from there. Currently there is no timeline for Jay’s Hollywood domination plans.

“Bad Boys 3″ in development possibly without Will Smith
Another Bad Boys movie is in the works according to The Hollywood Reporter. While Will Smith, Martin Lawrence and director Michael Bay all took part in the first two films, Bad Boys 3 actually might proceed without Will Smith. While Sony has already hired a screenwriter to pen the next film, both Will Smith and Martin Lawrence are not a guarantee to continue the Bad Boys franchise. Although the first film grossed $66 million in the U.S. and the second one with $138 million in the U.S., Sony might not be able to afford Will Smith’s growing salary which gets as high as $20 million a picture. On the other hand, Sony and Will Smith go hand-in-hand as the studio also has optioned sequels for other Will Smith hits such as Hancock and I am Legend.
The real question is…are any of you really interested in seeing another Bad Boys movie? And by “seeing” I mean actually paying to go see it in the theaters. Let me know what you think.
