Season 9 of “Dancing with The Stars” will feature R&B singer Mya along side other celebrities such as Macy Gray, Aaron Carter, Kelly Osbourne, and others.
“I’ve always wanted to be on the show. My mother (Theresa) and I are both fans,” says Mya, 30. “I’ve done tap dancing and hip-hop, but never done work with a partner. This will definitely be a challenge.”
I love Mya and am glad to see she will be back in the spotlight!
Shes actually a good girl who got some bad breaks after the 90s including her moms fight with breast cancer. You dont see much of her these days because she is helping with that cause. I cant hate on that. But I do hate dancing with the stars.

Personally I think its not that fair that shes in the show. She obviously knows how to dance and is a lot more “professionally” trained than the rest of the competition.

ummm…. mya is a professional dancer. she is just as much a dancer as she is a singer. she says she’s done tap and hip hop, but in fact she’s a very well-rounded dancer, trained in ballet and jazz as well, since she was very young. so this is definitely unfair. abc has her on the show, based on the fact that most people don’t know how well trained she is, just as ms. mya herself tries not to reveal the fact that she’s done more than hip hop and tap in interviews. pretty shady if you ask me.
