Official DMX poster for MMA “Alabama Pride” fight
Need the money and you are a celeb? Forget reality shows…it’s all about getting in the ring and getting paid. In a bizarre move, DMX will take his brawling skills to the pro level as he takes part in a Mixed Martial Arts exhibition…against someone from his own management team! Yea his opponent Eric Martinez, the guy who looks like he is about to mug your ass, is part of DMX’s entourage. will.i.Am launches new i.am clothing collection
No will.i.am’s clothing line i.am is NOT new, it’s actually been around since 2005 where it has taken on many forms including a denim line called i.am Antik. But now, the Black Eyed Peas leader is taking his fashion business to a new level by introducing his first entirely new i.am Clothing line. The collection includes tees, windbreakers, caps and jackets and the official site is still in development with distribution currently limited to boutique stores in Los Angeles. Flava Flav gearing up for TV talk show
Flava Flav has put his “Flava of Love” days behind him but the fame and publicity from TV has proved too addicting for him to avoid. Flav recently told AHH that he is in the pre-production stages of a TV talk show where of course, he would be the host. The unnamed show would deal with the comic and zany issues that only Flava Flav can make entertaining and is set to begin filming this year. No further production details were given and there still would be a long process to actually see the show come to life as a network would also have to buy and distribute it. The RZA to release “The Tao of Wu” book
Although the Wu-Tang Clan have had their recent share of bumps with each other, RZA still has held true to his Wu-Tang philosophy which borders on religion. So it’s no surprise that RZA will be releasing his book “The Tao of Wu” which the publisher, Penguin Books, describes as “part chronicle of an extraordinary life and part spiritual and philosophical discourse” and compared as the “Siddhartha for the hip-hop generation —an engaging, seeking book that will enlighten, entertain, and inspire.” The book hits stores October 15, 2009 and will be available nationwide and online. PICS: Mos Def x UNDRCRWN Cut & Sew collection released
UNDRCRWN has just released their second collection with Mos Def under the Cut & Sew range. The first collection was released earlier this month and was just a simple line of t-shirts. According to UNDRCRWN this second installment is described as follows:

Fabolous filming reality “Twitter” TV show
Surprised the folks at Twitter didn’t try and get Diddy to do this…wait they did. They just couldn’t afford to pay Diddy enough to do it. Well Fabolous has just revealed (over Twitter of course) that he has been filming for a reality TV show the past couple of days which will take viewers into the day-in-the-life of a busy of a busy entertainer. Some how though Twitter will be involved as Fab claims they are “onboard” for the show.
No word yet on the name of the show or who it is currently being shopped out to. Having Twitter onboard might seem like a gimmick but it adds credibility and separates it from the rest of the countless hip-hop reality shows that have yet to find a TV network to pick it up. PICS: Mariah Carey forced to look ugly in movie “Precious”
The Lee Daniels indie film Precious is getting some major buzz as it is officially endorsed by both Oprah and Tyler Perry but what intrigues us at WoooHa is how Daniels was able to transform diva Mariah Carey, who plays a life counselor, into one ugly chick. We mean that in the most respectful way possible…in fact in an interview with the AP Mariah states the same…
“That was such a freeing experience for me,” Carey says. “By making me look so bad he brought out the ability to never be self-conscious again, and that was a gift that he gave me.”
And check this…the experience was so freeing for Mariah that she actually let photographers take pictures of her on set from both her right AND left side. Previously, Mariah would only let photographers take her photo from the right side. No joke. I can’t make this up.
