PICS: Hot Topic to sell New Boyz “You’re A Jerk” t-shirts

New Boyz x Hot Topic. The mall-based store is no longer just for goth freaks and Twilight lovers. Now it’s for kids who love them skinny jeans and like to do the Running Man backwards. The New Boyz, known for their skinny jeans and bright clothes, have secured a deal with Hot Topic which will carry a line of men and women’s t-shirts with the famed “You’re a Jerk” slogan on them. Each shirt runs for $18.99 and you can buy them now. Or you can wait in about a month where they probably will go for $5.99 at Ross. WoooHa chooses to….dress for less. Still, the fact they got major distribution on these shirts is impressive.

Snoop Dogg takes executive job at Priority Records

Snoop Dogg takes executive job at Priority Records

Snoop will be taking his Doggfather status to the home of one of hip-hop’s most notorious labels, Priority as the newly appointed Creative Chairman. His job will be to relaunch Priority into the strong hip-hop force it used to be back in the days when it launched NWA, Ruthless Records, No Limit Records and Death Row. Ted Chung, Snoop’s long-time manager will become Brand Strategist for Priority, to help execute Snoop’s business vision for the label and launch a strong digital initiative.

“Starting fresh with EMI is a great feeling. It’s a new partnership, a new Priority Records, and a new Snoop Dogg: the Creative Chairman…the Boss Dogg…the Dogg Father. The business model we’ve developed will bring the musical heritage of groups like N.W.A. to the forefront” Snoop stated.

Snoop previously was part of the Priority Records family well after the break away from Death Row. It will be really interesting to see what Snoop and his creative team can bring to the table to help reinvigorate the storied label.
