The remake of A Nightmare on Elm Street is finally here from producer Michael Bay. For those old-schoolers it’s kinda strange seeing someone else other than Robert Englund play Freddy but this teaser trailer looks like it still might all work. Watch it…if you dare.

Diddy leaves Bad Boy records jumps to Interscope
Billboard has confirmation that Diddy is jumping ship to Interscope Records and parting ways with Warner Music and the label that he started, Bad Boy Records.
“Now that the term of the Warner deal has ended, I have elected to accept an opportunity to move my recording career and future label venture to another company,” Diddy said in a statement.
Diddy on Interscope does not mean he will be dropping his involvement in Bad Boy altogether. Instead, Diddy’s solo career will be handled by Interscope while his Bad Boy label is still with Warner. Confusing…yes. Should Bad Boy artists worry? Yes. Diddy’s deal with Interscope also calls for him to start his own joint label venture with Interscope…after he releases “Last Train to Paris” on Interscope his next task will be to start up a new venture similar to Bad Boy. Cassie and Day 26 better start looking for a day job.

MTV moving ahead with DJ AM rehab show
Call it a case of bad timing. As reported by many sources, DJ AM had filmed a TV series for MTV called “Gone Too Far” which was all about AM helping teen drug addicts kick the habit. In the show AM’s role was part mentor part counselor as he would help the teens keep on track and use his own experiences to help. Ironically, due to AM’s death from a drug overdose, MTV kept the show on the shelves.
Well word now is that MTV has gone back as is working with DJ AM’s family to air the TV series in a more fitting way. Eight episodes of “Gone” were shot; three days before his body was discovered Aug. 28, DJ AM tweeted that he wrapped filming. The show’s original premiere date was Oct. 5th. Now that date is most likely not going to stick but MTV definitely has not shelved the project and is moving ahead on how to premiere it with the right tone and message.

Love him or hate him Dame Dash always keeps popping up in the latest hip-hop business news for his new ventures. Once a hustler…always a hustler. Personally, WoooHa feels Dame Dash still has plenty to offer the hip-hop world as we await his Blac Roc project and new film with Mos Def. Unfortunately WoooHa has exclusively learned that Dame’s biggest internet project to date, BlockSavvy.com is now dead.
