Diddy launches “Diddy Beats” headphones with Interscope & Dre
Diddy x Diddy Beats. Word around Interscope headquarters in Santa Monica is one of the big reasons Diddy was so excited to sign with Mr. Iovine and Interscope is because he was promised some of that “Beats by Dre” headphones action. Well apparently Iovine kept his word as Diddy revealed “Diddy Beats” ear buds and iPod speakers will be hitting stores next year all under the same Interscope/Dre x Monster partnership.
“We designed some ear buds called Diddy Beats that will be out next year,” Combs stated. “We also have an iPod speaker base for your house coming out. That experience as a whole was good, we (Dr. Dre) had a great chemistry with each other.”
No word yet on the tech specs of the ear buds or iPod speakers but it’s safe to say they will be close to Dre’s. Also interesting how Dre and Diddy are actually now working closely together considering the old school Bad Boy vs. Death Row days. Anyone excited for Diddy Beats headphones?

Jermaine Dupri x Nu Pop Movement. Last year JD put some major hype and publicity behind his “Pop Watch” watch collection that was all set for launch and distribution. However, due to legal conflicts with Swatch, Dupri had to postpone the launch and change the name of the watches.
Now in this video he introduces us to the revamped collection now called “Nu Pop Movement.” The watches start at a respectable $135 and can be ordered at the official website. Props to Upscale Swagger for the heads up.

Michael Jackson’s white glove sells for $70,800
When Michael Jackson’s famed white glove from his 1984 Victory Tour went on the auction block it was estimated to sell at a price of at least $50,000. Perhaps due to the continued hype of his death through his upcoming movie, the glove actually sold higher at an astounding $70,800. This was the same glove that actually lit up during Michael’s concerts and was the highlight of the tour. For about the same price you could get Pharrell’s crocodile skin hoodie instead. Via: Luxist

Black Eyed Peas x DirecTV. The Black Eyed Peas have recently teamed up with DirecTV to help push their most recent single “Meet Me Half Way.” Yes, BEP in another ad. But considering all the TV exposure the DirecTV ad is giving them and the lack of funds that labels have these days, can you really blame them? TV ad is running nationwide and kicked off this past weekend during NFL games. Props to Broken Cool for the find.
