Seems like publishers are handing out book deals to rappers like no other these days. Now Mr. Fugee himself, Wyclef, jumps on the hip-hop book train as he announced with publisher Harper Collins an upcoming autobiography. The name of the book is still being decided but according to the official press release the memoir will chronicle Wyclef’s childhood in Haiti, his migration to Brooklyn, NY and his rise into pop culture as a member of The Fugees.
“I am so happy to share my journey which took me from the hut to the projects to the mansion,” said Wyclef Jean. “I am just getting started and feel so excited about It Books publishing the early stories from my life.”
No word yet on release date but the book will be co-authored with Anthony Bozza who helped pen Eminem’s book “You Say I Am.” Via: HighbridNation
