Pharrell collaborates with Visvim for outdoor jacket & vest collection

pharrell-williams-x-moncler-vest
Pharrell x Visvim.
Some how Pharrell finds the time to do all of these collaborations and still make music. The latest here is with Japanese brand Visvim for an outerwear collection called Moncler V designed by Pharrell. The collection features an assortment of all-black jackets, and includes a “pacifist” version of the bulletproof jacket (pictured) and each jacket in the collection is built with textiles from Bionic Yarn, the textile company that Pharrell is part owner of.

Pharrell took an equity stake as part owner of Bionic Yarn back in Q4 of 2008 and has since utilized his own textile company to make many of the collections in his various fashion business ventures including a line of BBC/Ice Cream shirts. Now that’s a business man there as he makes money both from the selling of the materials and the finished goods.

Black Eyed Peas & Victoria’s Secret team up for promotions

Black Eyed Peas x Victoria’s Secret. Some hip-hop purists say BEP killed true hip-hop and music in general. While it’s hard for us at WoooHa to disagree with that, we can’t deny the branding power they have generated with mainstream Corporate America. “Hip” enough to be considered cool but “safe” enough for the suit and ties to feel comfortable around.

So it’s no surprise when we heard the news that BEP and Victoria’s Secret have teamed up to promote and perform at various fashion shows. Here is their first performance for the lingerie company at a secret fashion show. Fergie must have been in heaven with all the hot ladies around. They performed “Boom Boom Pow” while the ladies walked the runway.

VIDEO: 50 Cent claims he has hip-hop blogs all figured out

50 Cent x FUSE. In this interview with FUSE, 50 claims he has all of us hip-hop bloggers figured out and that everyone just follows each other. Too bad he doesn’t show what blogs he is talking about in the clip but most of the time artists go after blogs is when they get disappointing news.

So what…his album didn’t sell like “Get Rich or Die Tryin” but honestly…no way units are going to like they did back then. If anything though, this interview once again proves the power that blogs have in today’s hip-hop industry. Via: NahRight

VIDEO: Trailer for Lady Gaga’s new album “Fame Monster”

I love how the big artists get trailers for their upcoming albums like they were movies. Jimmy and Interscope have a cash cow on their hands with Gaga so why not spend some of those marketing dollars eh? Actually Iovine might have to shift some media budget over to her costume budget. Who knows what insane costumes she will come up with this time.

Michael Jackson cologne based off his DNA hitting the market

mmydna

Michael Jackson x My DNA Fragrances. No offense to MJ but who in their right mind would want the DNA of a deceased person sprayed all over their body? Not me. But in case that’s your thing then we have just the product for you. Apparently a company called My DNA Fragrances will be introducing “M” a fragrance using the DNA of Michael Jackson described as “composed of the lightest, but most volatile essences.”

DNA tests were performed on hair clippings provided by celebrity hair collector John Reznikoff which were then used to develop the scent. I know this sounds like a “Chappelle Show” skit but it’s legit. MJ can now be sprayed all over you for the price of $59.99. Check the official site here.
