Take note, Billie Dee was an established painter before he was an actor. Jay-Z has been supporting artists since his Reasonable Doubt days. I've always been fascinated in the relationship of art appreciation compared to the patronage and general interest of the wealthy tastemakers. I do understand that some artists were able to "succeed" well before the tastemakers and wealthy declared them relevant. I'm not mad at Pharrell, I wish him all the success in the art world.
