The Rick Ross “Teflon Don” movie poster

Rick Ross x Teflon Don. There are a lot of 50 Cent haters out there (Rick Ross being one of them) but you can’t deny that he thinks out of the box with his marketing tactics. 50 was the first mainstream artist to film his own mini-movie and then include it in an album release w/ Before I Self Destruct. Since then Snoop has followed suit and now even 50′s nemesis Rick Ross is as well.

Here is the official poster to Rick Ross’ upcoming movie Teflon Don which will be included in his album release of the same name. No doubt a trailer will soon follow along with an internet campaign. Overall though it’s nice to see artists looking at other forms of entertainment as examples to marketing. Now these movies just need to be well made so that fans will actually care enough to buy them vs. rip em off the net. But that’s a whole different story.

The Lil Wayne High Performance Headphones

lil-wayne-buds

Uh oh…looks like Dre and Jimmy have started a new trend here…introducing the Lil Wayne “high performance earbuds.” Unlike the high price tag of the Beats by Dre though, the Lil Wayne headphones are geared towards the “discount” shopper and will start at a sub $20 price point.

I really wish we were kidding…sad to see Lil Wayne allows his image and endorsement on something that looks like it belongs in the discount bin of a Big Lots store. Via: Engadget

MOVIE TRAILER: New Extreme Red Band “Hot Tub Time Machine” trailer (NSFW)

Love it. Haven’t heard of a movie title this great since….Snakes on a Plane. Here is the brand new red band trailer to Hot Tub Time Machine. Warning…it’s very NSFW complete with nudity, foul language and nudity. But watch it now anyways if you are at work…your boss will think you are way cooler and instantly give you a promotion. Or he/she will fire you immediately. Either way…it’s still a great trailer.
