Despite slow sales DJ Hero 2 is a go

Despite slow sales DJ Hero 2 is a go

WoooHa can confirm with various unofficial sources inside Activision that despite weak sales, the DJ Hero brand will continue to roll out a “DJ Hero 2″ game. No time table has been set for the release but the production company Freestyle Games has already started development on the second game version and is looking for new talent including the ideal signing of DJ Qbert to the DJ Hero franchise.

While the second game will roll out, Activision will continue to sell its current DJ Hero controller console and will not be releasing a newer version. Let’s hope the second game can generate some stronger sales for this struggling franchise.

PICS: Beyoncé Nintendo “Style Savvy” Commercial

beyonceds1
Beyoncé taps into the gaming market by helping introduce “Style Savvy”  a fashion orientated game for Ninendo DS and Nintendo DSi users…who said chicks don’t dig video games? The game turns players into managers of a virtual boutique. The goal is to accommodate customers’ budgets and needs, then use the accumulated cash to restock your stores, bearing in mind such factors as seasonal changes.

As part of its arrangement with Beyoncé, Nintendo plans to introduce five items from her Deréon line early this year. In a recent interview from USA TODAY Beyonce states:

“Fashion is something I’ve been familiar with my whole life,” she says in an interview before the shoot. So when Nintendo tapped her to represent its product, she was happy to oblige.

“It can teach young girls a sense of business and of responsibility,” Beyoncé says. “You have to be a good listener and pay attention to what the customers want. It also teaches you about fashion, using terms that fashion people use, like ‘asymmetrical.’ “

jay-z_i

Jay-Z x Interview Magazine. The more artists that show up on covers of non-related hip-hop/music magazines, the better. From 50 Cent on “Muscle & Fitness” to Pharrell on the cover of “Modern Painters.” Now Jay-Z graces the February cover of “Interview” Magazine. Still waiting for Lil Wayne to cover “Home & Garden”…he knows how to deal with herbs and stuff better than anyone.

Play Cloths x YELE Haiti Relief Fund exclusive tee

Screen shot 2010-01-16 at 10.33.52 AM
Clipse’s street wear line Play Cloths and Wyclef’s YELE Haiti Earthquake fund have collaborated for this “Haitian Jack” limited tee where 100% of proceeds will go to the relief fund. Shirt retails for $38 and is available only until 1/22. Although YELE has recently come under fire for some alleged shady tax evasion practices, there is no denying that it has taken someone like Wyclef to get people here in the states to really take notice of the situation.

WoooHa.com supports Wyclef and his mission as an ambassador to Haiti and to helping all those in need over there. If you are not comfortable supporting YELE.org please do donate to another charity then that will also help out the Haiti situation. Peace.

50 Cent helps Vitamin Water gain over 1 million Facebook fans

50 Cent x Vitamin Water.
50 Cent was an integral part of Vitamin Water’s latest marketing campaign which revolved around Facebook fans creating a new flavor. While professional marketers first thought this campaign as a joke, 50 Cent took it to heart and pushed it with a viral video w/ Steve Nash and co-branded a 50 Cent iPhone app as well.  The result of the marketing efforts?

Vitamin Water gained over 800,000 “fans” on Facebook during the campaign bringing their current total to over 1,100,000. That’s a lot of people drinking Vitamin Water. The contest has recently concluded with the new flavor called “Connect” which is a mix of black cherry and lime. I hear it’s good. Maybe 50 can send us some soon…or at least the Vitamin Water reps.
