Beyoncé x Vizio. Beyoncé will be the spokeswoman in a 30-60 second ad for Vizio, a fast-growing HDTV and consumer electronics company. The ad will appear during the 4th quarter of Super Bowl XLIV. The company signed a 3 year deal to have the singer endorse its products. In the agreement Beyoncé will be a part of Vizio’s ad campaigns and participate in the design and performance characteristics for the company’s new products.

“Beyoncé is in an elite class of entertainers who are globally known and respected for their talent on stage and in front of the camera,” Laynie Newsome, Vizio’s co-founder and vice president of sales and marketing communications said in a press release. “We believe both VIZIO and Beyoncé are closely aligned as American success stories who have redefined the rules in our respective industries.”

As for Beyoncé’s statement: ”What I love about VIZIO is how committed they have been to customers and their focus on delivering tremendous performance at a great value … As a performer, I can relate to that, because my fans spend their hard-earned money to see me perform, and I give everything I can to make sure I exceed their expectations. I’m excited to be associated with such a successful company.”

With ad spots for the Super Bowl starting at $3 million will this ad be stimulating as Janet Jackson’s MTV “wardrobe malfunction”? One can only hope.
