Will Smith and Denzel Washington are officially on board to film the remake of the 1970′s comedy classic Uptown Saturday Night which originally starred Bill Cosby and Sidney Poitier. Smith’s Overbrook Entertainment production company bought out the rights for the remake over eight years ago as the project was slowly put on the backburner until now.
Will previously considered teaming up with comedians like Martin Lawrence and Eddie Murphy before changing direction and going with Denzel. Movie is about a pair of friends who lose a winning lottery ticket and set about the town in search of it.
