Diggy Simmons x Atlantic Records. Diggy, the middle child of Run DMC’s Rev Run and has just signed his first major label deal with Atlantic Records. Although Diggy is no stranger to the spotlight with MTV’s “Run’s House,” it’s been his “Made You Look” viral vid that has really got him noticed. Here’s a Twitter pic of him signing the papers…360 deal no doubt.

Yea we all know for the majority of up and coming artists, the dream is to sign a major record deal, tour the world and have your face plastered all over the world on t-shirts. Although the net provides a method to get noticed, it’s the money that gets you the marketing and publicity to make it big. That’s where the labels come in and that’s why 360 deals have been all the rage.

But many business critics have been proving the 360 deal a clear benefit to only one party…unfortunately that is not the artist. Jay-Z x Absolut. The NY-Z documentary gives an intimate glimpse into Jay-Z’s childhood, his motivation as an artist and the moments leading to the September 11th benefit concert at Madison Square Garden. Check out the 15-minute short film directed by Danny Clinch.

Slim Thug x FUBU. FUBU, now simply called FB, has been focusing primarily on digital viral campaigns to get the word out of their relaunched clothing label. Now they take things to the next level with their first TV ad campaign which stars Slim Thug in a Mac vs. PC spin-off.

50 Cent x Dead Man Walking. 50 fans will remember this movie…was a small indie British produced film that 50 agreed to in order to help his “indie film” reputation. Although it came out in October of last year in limited release it has yet to make its way to the states. Here is a clip of the film compliments of Yardie.

Ice Cube x Straight Outta LA. Ice Cube’s long-awaited LA Raiders documentary for ESPN is finished and set to premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival on April 23rd and then will premiere on TV May 11th on ESPN. Here is a clip from the film featuring Ice Cube and Snoop Dogg as they reminisce about the good old days when the Raiders were in LA…and when they were actually a decent team. At this point I think we will take any team…yes…even the Lions.
