Benny Boom, who previously directed over 150 hip-hop videos from 50 Cent to Busta Rhymes has taken his film career to new levels. First he directed the movie Next Day Air and now he is officially on board to direct the sequel to the $200 million grossing film S.W.A.T. which starred Samuel L. Jackson and LL Cool J.

Now the sequel comes in the form of S.W.A.T.: Fire Fight with none of the original cast attached to the movie right now. Plot goes like this: Transferred to Detroit to put a local SWAT team through a training regimen, LAPD Lieutenant Paul Cutler finds himself the target of a homicidal genius who is protected by government officials.

No official word on when it will be released but it does sound a lot like direct-to-video at this point. But for Benny Boom it still is some solid directing work on his resume.
