The Queen Latifah and Common flick Just Wright opened this past weekend to the tune of $8.5 million at the box office which was strong enough for fourth behind Iron Man 2, Robin Hood and Letters to Juliet. Considering the big media budgets of the other films, Just Wright fell right in where most projected. It has aslo been widely reported that the film did not cost much at all to make and at least gave Common the opportunity to step up as a leading man in a movie. For those who saw it this weekend…let us know what you thought of it.

Great movie! The chemistry between Queen Latifah and Common was on point. I have to admit that I was pleasantly surprised. Everyone in the movie was fantastic. Paula Patton, Phyiicia Rashad, Pam Grier, and all the other actors were great and well connected onscreen. Fresh twist on a common theme.
Props to Common for his first lead…Chi-Town stand up!
Great movie! I enjoyed it saw it twice. The chemistry was definitely obvious from the beginning between Queen and Common. I loved all of the casting. Refreshing romantic comedy.
It was an entertaining movie, predictable but nontheless entertaining. It was nice seeing some old and new faces thrown together as it was also nice to see Common get a shot a his first lead role. Don’t expect “The Notebook” but do expect to walk away feeling entertained and not cheated
Oh my God for me it was so awesome. I love Queen and Common, together they were incredible. I loved Pam Grier and Phylicia Rashad was perfect for his mom, hell he really looked like she was his mama. Loved her dad in the movie, he was the bomb! Paula is so beautiful and I can clearly see her playing that part. She was so amazing that I wanted to kick her butt a few times in the movie. In my life time I have had a few friends like her. Personally I am the one everyone wants to be best friends with. I will tell you this, it has inspired me to write, I am writing my first rap song and I hope to get a chance to do it in person for Queen and Common since they are my inspiration. I wish they would have made more money but I am so glad they did it and I want to see Just Wright 2. XOXOXO A.B.
this movie is one movie i could say that lifted my spirits. A movie i felt good about to watch and enjoy with my girlfriend, it shows courage, love, strength and most of all love at first sight. me and my girl was going through somethings and i didn’t want to deal with all of that so i decided to go get a movie to ease the edge and when i stumbled across just wright i never knew it would make everything u were thinking and going through vanish. common played a good role and so did latifah good job with the make of the movie 100% hands down best movie of the year, two thumbs up.
Amazingly wonderful…I hope to see more romance by black actors and actresses in the future. The movie reflects how love should be born…a special and unknown time, chemistry upon meeting, unforeseen events, getting to know the others true self, knowing who you are, bring your best at another’s lowest, lastly…if it yours let it go..if its truly yours, it will return.
The cast was great!!
