VIDEO: Tour of Jay-Z & Beyonce’s rumored new mansion

And to the surprise of everyone it’s not located any where near New York. Rumor has it that Mr. and Mrs. Knowles Carter are buying a 16,000 square-foot estate on a 210 acre lot in a small town in Pennsylvania. The local news station takes a tour of the house which even includes high school fans standing outside saying things like “This could be the same road that Jay-Z is going to drive on.” Jay’s people neither confirm or deny the rumors but the town already thinks they have practically moved in.

Jay-Z x Fela!.
Looks like Jay-Z can add “Tony Award nominated” to his long list of accomplishments. The musical is Jay’s first foray into Broadway producing but looks like the returns have been quite nice…at least with the critics.

According to Billboard, in addition to being nominated for Best Musical, “Fela!” was nominated for Best Book of Musical for Jim Lewis & Bill T. Jones and Sahr Ngaujah was nominated for Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Musical.

“Fela!” tells the story of Nigerian musician Fela Kuti; the original Broadway cast recording will be available on June 8 from Knitting Factory Records. Check the TV ad for “Fela!” here.

VIDEO: Ice Cube’s “Are We There Yet?” TV show trailer

Ice Cube x TBS. Here is the trailer to the upcoming TBS sit com “Are We There Yet?” executive produced by Ice Cube and based off his hit comedy film franchise. TV show is produced by his Cube Vision productions with Matt Alvarez. While Cube will not be starring in the show, he has enlisted big man Terry Crews to play him.

Not a bad choice. It’s basically the equivalent of hiring Brad Pritt or Denzel to play you in a bio pic when you are the one with the casting power. The show debuts June 2nd, 2010 on TBS. Via: TheYBF

Jay-Z & Betty White set for “Saturday Night Live” skit together

Jay-Z x SNL.
Jay-Z will be the musical guest for this Saturday’s “Saturday Night Live” with Golden Girl Betty White as the host. Many here in Hollywood have been speculating about the chance that Jay and Betty would team together for an actual skit together during the show and now it looks like people will get their wish.

“We thought, ‘This is an interesting mix,’” executive producer Lorne Michaels told Entertainment Weekly about booking Jay and Betty for “SNL,” before hinting of a possible sketch involving the rapper and 88-year-old actress. “Jay-Z was excited about the idea of working with Betty White—further proof that her influence is pervasive and enormous.”

It also turns out that White is actually a fan of Jay-Z. In the meantime NBC plans to keep the skit and the storyline under tight wrap so looks like you will have to tune in on Saturday to find out.
