Ice Cube talks playing a cop in movie “Rampart”

Some might say it’s a bit ironic that a self-proclaimed “gangster” is now playing a cop in a movie. But when you are Ice Cube you are able to seamlessly be a gangster, promote family TV shows, and play a cop in a movie all at the same time. That’s versatility at it’s finest. Cube states the following about his role in the upcoming movie Rampart.

“Movies aren’t real. Basically comes out of that. It’s just a movie. If I want people to take me serious as an actor, I got to take myself serious as an actor. So it’s just a movie. Just a role. And its a good role. I’m playing a homicide detective who think a dirty cop did the murder. So, I’m on a dirty cop. So, it’s cool to get a dirty cop thrown in jail.”

Rampart is currently filming in Los Angeles and also stars Woody Harrelson and Ben Foster. Via: RR

Rocawear & Pacman video game form partnership

Jay-Z and his Rocawear brand plan to make Pacman cool again. Google might have beat them to the punch on that but nonetheless, Pacman will soon be integrated into Rocawear lifestyle marketing for the summer. According to an official Rocawear statement, to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Pacman, the iconic video game image will be part of Rocawear’s mobile, 18-wheeler Pop-Up shop. The Roc Pop-Up Shop will have various Bandai Namco (owner of Pac Man) games including PAC-MAN which will be able to be played by visitors to the truck.

More important, limited edition PAC-MAN /Rocawear tees will also be sold on the truck and will most likely be worn by Jay-Z and his band of minions in the RocNation crew. Once we get pics of the shirts we’ll be sure to throw them up. Until then…we only wish Death Row could have done this partnership. Two of Amerikkka’s Most Wanted…TuPac and PacMan. Via: HHPress

Will Chilli really ever let down her guard in her quest for love? How well will Brandy and Ray J step up in their family business?” stated Jeff Olde, VH1’s Executive Vice-President of Original Programming and Production.

ALBUM ART: Diddy – “Last Train to Paris”

Here is the official album art to Diddy’s much-hyped album Last Train to Paris. Surprisingly the art is pretty high concept and doesn’t even feature Diddy’s face on the cover which is a shocker. Album drops June 28th and has the support of some heavy hitters from Jay-Z, Nicki Minaj, Justin Timberlake and Drake to name a few.

In promotion of the album Diddy and his Dirty Money posse will be making the rounds on TV with appearances on “Good Morning America” (6/4), The MTV Awards (6/6), “The Late Show with David Letterman” (6/16), and “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” on June 29 and 30. That’s true Diddy style keeping the hustle strong.

MUSIC VIDEO: Big Boi – “Shutterbug”

Big Boi launches his first single “Shutterbug” in a big way with this crazy music video. If this song is what we can expect from the full album Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty then it will all have been worth the wait. Nice seeing the Dungeon Family back.

Waka Flocka covers “Urban Ink”

Waka Flocka graces the cover of  “Urban Ink” showing off a chest full of tat. We are surprised to hear the photo shoot went well and contrary to any Waka Flocka appearance there actually was no violence.
