Mr. Yayo lands his first major film role in the upcoming Sony sequel SWAT: Fire Fight which will be directed by Benny Boom. According to AHH, the G-Unit member would be “taking hostages” as the character Carlos and starts all forms of craziness with the SWAT team.

“It’s exciting to bring an iconic TV show to life,” said executive Producer Scott Putman. “The film is going to be gritty, edgy, and suspenseful.  I used to watch the TV series when I was a kid, and I couldn’t be more excited to help carry on the name.”

That’s cool…but it’s also looking pretty clear right now that this might be a straight-to-DVD production. More info to come.
